If you've never used a handwoven towel before, you'll be shocked by how delightful they are! Have you ever bought a commercial towel, just to get it home try it out and find it pushing the water around? Or so scratchy and nonabsorbent you end up drying your hands on your pants? The fibers in commercial mills are usually coated with oils and stiffeners so they don't get snagged in the machines and can be woven much faster. However, this makes them much less absorbent! Given handwoven towels a try and you might find you never turn back. Yes, they are machine washable!
