Care & Washing

100% Cotton Home Goods
Kitchen Towels - Throw & Baby Blankets - Place mats - Napkins
My home and kitchen items are all made of 100% cotton and are absolutely made to be used every single day. Don't save them for a special occasion! These items can be thrown in your washing machine and dryer. I recommend low temperature settings, and if you have other items in the load with buttons or zippers that may cause snags be sure to use a delicates bag. For place mats and tablerunners I recommend line drying instead of machine drying. If wrinkled use an iron on medium high (or cotton) setting.

Rayon & Tencel Scarves
Everyday Reflective Scarves - Tencel Scarves
My everyday scarves are called that for a reason! These scarves can be worn every day, and even machine washed. I recommend using cool temperature water and the delicate or hand-wash setting on your machine. They should be hung to dry until only damp. They may be put in a machine dryer without other items on low temperature for up to 10 minutes to soften. If wrinkled, iron on medium heat setting.

Silk & Exotic Fiber
If your scarf or shawl contains silk, mohair, alpaca or other exotic fibers it is best for them to be hand washed or dry clean only. To hand wash fill a sink or bath tub with barely warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Gently agitate the fabric with your hands, squeezing and swishing. Gently squeeze out excess water, but DO NOT WRING as that will distort the weave and stretch the fibers. Layer the piece between two bath towels and roll into a large tube, continuing to squeeze gently. Then unroll and lay flat to finish drying. Iron on a medium-low setting.
*Mélange Shawls contain a unique combination of fibers and come with life-time care. Contact me for details.

Bags & Pouches
The handwoven portions of my bags and purses are made of 100% cotton, however many bags include details and linings in other fabrics and even leather. The best option for cleaning is to spot clean specific stains when they happen. The zippered pouches are frequently used as make-up bags, which as we all know can get dirty fast. It is possible to turn the small pouches inside out and machine wash them in a delicates bag. Do not machine dry.
